IBERVILLE'S OWN, ROB49

New Orleans has done it again. Interscope clearly sees the potential in Rob49 with a deal being signed a few weeks back [link]. He is representing the city lovely in too many ways to count with songs like “Migo”, “Baby Jesus” & “Gucci Sock’s, Gucci Lens”. Don’t ask me who I’m listening to currently cause this is it.

Ask anybody, they gon’ tell you what it is,
on God he only rapping what he live, that’s why I f*** with him, I can’t forgive them for what they told me as a kid, bro couldn’t let no b****** in his house cause he ashamed of how they live.
— Had to Be

Rob’s from the Ville, formerly known as the Iberville Projects in the 4th Ward amongst having ties to 9th Ward. Four is a common theme in the music and vernacular, you’ll see. With huge momentum going into 2021 and three albums so early in his career, I’m eager to see how much improvement takes place cause his talent and production is there. Big shoutout to his producers too cause they’re working overtime—not many tracks I’ve skipped on the basis of the beats. Based on distinctiveness, bro definitely deserves the position he’s put himself in as a noteworthy figure in New Orleans’ hip hop before going nationwide.

SAY CHEESE! & A million roses Tv have multiple interviews collectivity providing a deeper context of Rob49 via his upbringing and major life occurrences. Based on the interviews, self-motivation and discipline are the characteristics immediately jumping out. With this level of maturity, he’ll be putting his Vultures on in a major way beyond music.

Before you listen to anything, press play on “Lived Backwards” w/ Neno Calvin (another NOLA all-star). This the best song to date I promise but remember, my opinion doesn’t mean s***. With only a few features, I think a full album collaboration is only right between the two. They exhibit great chemistry and seem to have a healthy competition brewing when working together. Attached is a personalized playlist providing the necessary audible synopsis amongst a video for his latest release, “DeeDay”.
