TOP 5: SONGS OF MARCH 2020

Can y’all believe we are already three months into 2020? Time really flies! Time isn’t slowing down and neither are we, so this month we’re kicking off our first post in our Top 5 series. The series is pretty self explanatory so let’s jump right into it. This list is curated by yours truly 😎

5. DIOR - POP SMOKE

“I’ll make a movie like TNT/Glock-30 on me, ask who really with it, I bet I air it like BNB…”

An oldie but goodie from the Summer 2019 drop, Meet the Woo, from the late Pop Smoke. This song makes us want to dance every time I hear it. Pop Smoke’s gruff voice and street anthems will surely be missed. Rest in Paradise.

4. HEARTLESS - THE WEEKND

“Never need a b***h, I'm what a b***h need…”

The lead single from his fourth studio album, After Hours, this song reminds us of classic Abel. His braggadocious lyrics and smooth melodies make this an instant addition to our weekly rotation.

3. SAVAGE - MEGAN THEE STALLION

“Classy, bougie, ratchet/sassy, moody, nasty…”

This bop comes from Megan’s newest EP Suga, that just dropped Friday, March 6th. Megan is definitely giving all the “hot girls” a theme song for the spring. We’ve decided to stan.

2. HEATIN UP (feat. GUNNA) - LIL BABY

“Man, these racks gettin' too big for these skinny clothes, I might put me an M in some big Girbaud…”

From Lil Baby’s latest project, My Turn, and one of many great collabs from Gunna and Lil Baby, this song was almost instantly a favorite. It’s amazing that the majority of their collaborations turn into major hits. It’s even more amazing that they have over twenty songs together.

1. B.S. (feat. H.E.R.) - JHENÉ AIKO

“I am in control now, I need you to go now, I can fix my own crown…”

If you’re falling into bad habits yet again this spring, don’t fret—you’re not alone. On her latest project, Chilombo, Jhené collabed with H.E.R. to let us know it is totally okay to be back on your BS when someone leaves you no other choice.
